What Makes the LC1201 Different?
The discontinued V1 chassis has evolved. The V2 platform ships as two factory models: LC1201 (brushed) and LC1201-MAX (brushless) — the same crawler the market knows as the JXC LC80 — with upgrades you can measure: +30% power output and +50% motor durability over the previous generation. Same officially licensed Toyota Land Cruiser 80 body, a completely different machine underneath.
| Component | V1 (Discontinued) | V2 Brushed — LC1201 | V2 Brushless — LC1201-MAX |
|---|---|---|---|
| Model No. | — | LC1201 | LC1201-MAX |
| Motor | 370 Brushed | 390 Brushed | 2212 3000KV Brushless |
| Servo | 2.6g | 6KG Metal Gear | 6KG Metal Gear |
| ESC | 30A | 40A | 50A |
| Differential | Locked | Gear Differential | Gear Differential |
| Control System | Basic Control | Full Proportional | Full Proportional |
| Battery | Built-in Pack | Removable 18650 | Removable 18650 |
The 390 brushed motor (or the 2212 3000KV brushless option) pushes through a 40A or 50A ESC, while the 6KG metal-gear servo and gear differential give the V2 precise, proportional control on every surface. Buyers comparing the two versions can see the full breakdown on the 1:12 RC crawler range page.

From Straight Axle to LC1201 Portal Axle 4WD
The V1 straight-axle chassis is discontinued. The LC1201 moves to a portal-axle 4WD platform with multi-position adjustable suspension, which means higher clearance, better articulation and serious crawling geometry out of the box.
- All-new front and rear axle architecture, built for off-road
- Better obstacle clearance and a higher chassis stance
- Multi-position adjustable suspension for every terrain

All-New LC1201 Chassis Design
38 bearings. Full alloy joints. Smoother drivetrain. The V2 chassis protects what matters: a thickened mudguard, a separated battery compartment, magnetic body mounts and 4-way adjustable oil-filled shocks keep the internal components safe on rough trails.

Magnetic Quick-Swap Battery on the LC1201
3 seconds to open. 10 seconds to swap. No screws, no struggle: the V1 screw-down battery pack is gone. The front-mounted position also improves weight distribution and crawling balance.

Servo Protection and Metal-Gear Steering
Flexible servo protection absorbs impact before it reaches the steering assembly, while the 6KG metal-gear steering servo stands up to constant off-road load. Stronger components, greater durability, fewer returns.

Better DIY Platform: Build Your LC1201 Your Way
Battery, motor, ESC and remote module are all separately serviceable, so a shop can upgrade or replace one part without touching the rest. Ample layout space unlocks higher potential, and the new servo saver protects the steering system from impact.

Every JXC model is covered by factory after-sales support: our team diagnoses faults with you directly, supplies spare parts for common issues, and resolves major quality cases case by case. The LC1201 shares its 1:12 platform architecture with the licensed Land Rover 1:12 crawler, so spares and upgrade knowledge carry across the range.
